"There is a sense of satisfaction in looking at your men all ready for the fray"
-- W. Somerset Maugham

This is a deck we’ve played as long as any custom deck, though it has gone through several iterations. We’ve been settled on this version for a while.
LANDO & LOBOT
by Roman Farraday & Geektopia. Includes a few ideas from PD Magnus and Justin.
Bespin Lando Calrissian
13 HP
Blaster
18 cards
Yellow Deck, 9 Special Cards
Lobot
10 HP
Blaster
12 cards
Strong Ranged Minor Deck, 3 Special Cards
Lando – 9 Talent Cards
3x GAMBLER’S FALLACY
A1. Roll the die. Add the value rolled to the attack value. If a purple field is rolled, target chooses and discards a card.
2x ADMINISTRATOR OF THIS FACILITY
A4/D4. If Lobot is alive, attack and defense values are 8.
2x SCOUNDREL’S RETREAT
A5. Move Lando adjacent to any player.
2x I JUST MADE A DEAL
Lando may choose and discard cards from his hand. Choose an opponent to discard the same number of cards at random.
Lobot – 3 Talent Cards
2x BESPIN AMBUSH
Draw 3 cards. If you are on the Carbon Freezing Chamber, draw 4 cards.
1x SEND IN THE UGNAUTS
Do 3 points of damage to all of one opponent’s characters.
Why Lobot? Lando could alternatively be flanked by a pair of Bespin Guards. Scott Hagarty’s Lando and Bespin Wing Guards is a great deck that uses them. For Geektopia, Lobot is the right minor for Lando. He’s Lando’s prominent right-hand cyborg in the films, and even though he doesn’t wield a gun, in ESB he is clearly an action figure, several of my friends had a Lobot action figure.
Theme: Make deals, roll dice, everything a scoundrel needs to do
Path to Victory: I JUST MADE A DEAL + either ADMINISTRATOR OF THIS FACILITY, GAMBLER’S FALLACY, or SCOUNDREL’S RETREAT
Strengths: High attacks, forces opponents to discard
Weaknesses: Low HP, low defense
Strategy: Stay away, force them to discard, finish them with big attacks
Test Level: High
Tier: 3
Inspiration: There were a lot of good Lando ideas out there that we borg’d from, but ultimately we put the deck together with original cards.
Playing Lando & Lobot: Lando and Lobot are a frail pair, but they have some big attacks and IJMAD can control the game. Lando will have trouble winning a long, drawn-out game with anyone because he has poor staying power, but should stockpile enough to make good use of IJMAD. If you get your big attacks early, use them, though AOTF is typically more valuable as a defense card than as an attack. Move Lando in front of Lobot, then switch to having Lobot in front of Lando (or vice versa). Lando is by far at his best when both characters are alive.
Playing against Lando & Lobot: Lando can hit you with a couple of A8s and he can force you to discard at random if you spend too much time stockpiling. This is the opponent you always want to kill first, since it’s easy, and since they are dangerous if left alive. They can’t do much against your big attacks, but they can take your cards away, so use your good cards early against them. If Lobot is exposed, try to bring him down. It’s easy and Lando loses a lot if he’s dead.
